I love technology, building organizations, and designing solutions to problems. I served as a technology executive, helping grow, scale, and sell a midsize Government-focused technology solutions firm.I'm passionate about noble efforts, like helping the Government better serve Americans (I’m so proud of Halfaker and Associates’ great work improving the experience of Veterans) and charities become more effective.I love drawing on whiteboards, iPads, and scraps to paper to decipher, brainstorm, and communicate problems and solutions.I get excited helping organizations mature to be more focused, effective, and resilient (e.g., Business Architecture, Business Process Re-engineering, Process Improvement, Strategic Planning, CMMI)I love technology and finding ways to use it in novel ways.

Professional Biography

Mike King is an investor and advisor with over twenty years of experience serving in technology and business roles, with a focus on serving the Federal Government.He served in several executive roles while contributing to the growth and sale of Halfaker and Associates to SAIC from 2008 to 2021, including Chief Operating Officer leading service delivery, Chief Technology Officer leading technical sales and solutioning, and finally Chief Information Officer leading IT strategy, delivery, cybersecurity, and enterprise process engineering. He established several process frameworks to support the growth and maturity of Halfaker in domains including project management, engineering maturity, and quality assurance.Before Halfaker, Mike was at Lockheed Martin for five years focused on cyber security and critical infrastructure protection.
Mike holds degrees in Computer Engineering (Bachelor’s from UVA) and Information Systems (Master’s from JHU). Michael has held various professional certifications including PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL Foundations, and Scaled Agilist.
